All of our salt lamps are certified by official government bodies to match US electrical safety standards. What exactly does this mean? The safety standards guarantee that you as a lamp user will not be exposed to electrocution risks while handling the lamp.
US salt lamps need the following parts of the salt lamp to be certified to the US 60598.2.4 standard as well as US CISPR 15, in order to be sold in the US.
- Globe holder.
- Power cord.
- Plug.
- Dimmer.
Each of these components needs to be marked with a safety approval stamp. This could be a RCM stamp, or also a SAA approval stamp. All of our components are SAA tested and approved to all relevant standards, and are compliant to safety standards for all states nation wide. We are approved by the following regulatory authorities and programs:
- Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council
- National Communications and Media Authority
- Competition and Consumer Commission
- Electrical Safety Office
- Energy Safe America
Not all salt lamp suppliers will have safety approval, as it is not thoroughly enforced by the above agencies, that's why it's best to check first.
